Grown on the misty slopes of Western Uganda’s volcanic highlands, Mount Elgon A+ showcases the best of East African specialty coffee. The SL 14 and SL 28 varietals – originally bred in Kenya – thrive here at 1,700m, where mineral-rich soil and cool temperatures intensify sweetness. After hand-picking, the beans undergo a precision washed process.

Dose: 18g in | 36g out (1:2 ratio)  
Time: 27-31 seconds  
Temp: 92°C  
Grind: Fine
Tasting: Dark chocolate body with peach undertones and tea-like finish  

 

Pour-Over 

Coffee: 15g (medium-fine grind)  
Water: 250g at 93°C  
Recipe:
  0:00 - Bloom with 45g (swirl)  
  0:45 - Pour to 120g (slow spiral)  
  1:10 - Pour to 190g (slow spiral)
  2:05 - Pour to 240g
